Hi all!
I just found out that I can also allow students to use this for their Saturday Academy needs! For those that will be using it this way, the student will also need to register for the September 19 Saturday academy "Trash clean-up at Laguna Grande and Robert's Lake" in Minga. Additionally, they will need to participate in the clean-up for all 3 hours and arrive at the dirt lot between Chili's and Laguna Grande Park across from the Seaside Police Department. WAIVERS must be signed by a parent or guardian...(but this can be completed online by using the QR code on the flyer).
Hopefully this creates more incentive to participate!

Hi everyone!
Thank you to everyone who has RSVPd for this event!
We look forward to working together with you to clean up one of our most polluted watersheds here on the peninsula!
A couple reminders:
1. Please register for the event at: https://saveourshores.org/coastal-cleanup/
2. Within the registration, please make sure that you complete the waiver and have the e-mail confirmation when checking in on Saturday morning.
3. This event uses an app (Clean Swell) for participants to log the trash that is found. We will have some paper data cards at the event for those that the app is just not working for.
4. Sunscreen up! Wear a hat and comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Bring a refillable water bottle.
If you have them, feel welcome to bring a bucket, gloves and trash grabbers. We will have some of these materials available to borrow during the clean-up.
Finally, have your Monterey High School student sign-up for the Robert's Lake and Laguna Grande Clean-up on Minga so that they also get Saturday Academy credit!
If you're looking for volunteer hours verification, please bring all necessary documents so that they can be completed as you check out of the event!
Chocolate cookie baking will happen tomorrow night, so it isn't too late to sign-up and make sure I bake enough of them :)
