Robin leaves behind a legacy of dedication, kindness and innovation that touched countless lives. A beloved robotics and auto shop teacher at Monterey High School for more than 20 years, Robin was instrumental in establishing the robotics department for Monterey High School, home of the "Robodores" and Team4255.com, growing it into a nationally recognized program.

Robin touched countless lives on the Monterey Peninsula, particularly among the youth, by offering alternative pathways to success beyond traditional academics. His commitment to education and belief in every student's potential inspired generations.

Robin will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the countless ways he enriched the lives of his students, family and friends.

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is proud to recognize National Special Education Day on December 2, 2024.

September is Attendance Awareness Month and the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is kicking off a year-long education campaign prioritizing the importance of consistent and daily attendance at school.

MPUSD offers short-term independent study when students are planning to be absent one to up to 15 days a school year. Advance notice is required.

This initiative is part of the school's broader vision to rethink nutrition services and enhance student engagement.

Our school district is dedicated to serving of our students and we want to ensure they have quick access to make the best possible decisions for their own mental health and wellbeing.

During the month of August, we encourage all of our students, families, teachers, and staff to take time for your personal wellness.

In the 2024-2025 school year, MPUSD's three comprehensive high schools - Marina High School, Monterey High School, and Seaside High School will move to a 7-period schedule.
