Welcome Back Green Machine!
I am excited to welcome back our Toreador Family for the 25-26 school year! Our theme that will drive our approach to this year is R.I.S.E., which equates to Rigorous Instruction, Student Engagement. There is going to be a major push for us to heighten rigor across all content areas at Monterey High School, ensuring that students are getting access to grade-level instruction, no matter their class, and are being assessed on genuine standard mastery. This will undoubtedly lead to higher student engagement as all students should be challenged in multiple facets every day on our campus.
I anticipate a fantastic year for all of our stakeholders and look to build on the success of previous years to push us toward unprecedented achievements in the near future. There are many exciting aspects of the new year in which we will all get to participate and enjoy. I look forward to kick starting our new Computer Science CTE Pathway, welcoming our new and improved Student Parking Lot, and also the completion of the new Lower Sports Complex!
The beginning of the year is such an incredible opportunity to be risk-takers in relationship-building, showcasing our collective desire to be a caring school site, and to exhibit open-mindedness to new possibilities. I cannot wait to see everyone in early August to get the ball-rolling on what I know will be a fantastic year!
